Very Pleased November 28, 2008 D. Hartt (Fort Worth) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like to take video of all my trips and give them to family or to the people that go with us. I put this on my Harley and took video of my last motorcycle trip. It worked out great. There is a $500 dollar version that someone makes that has more bells and whistles (i.e. like playing back what you've done) but for the money this was an excellent buy and meets my needs perfectly.
Sweet little thing April 21, 2009 Kyle William Turner (Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cam is great. I attach it to my sailboat's mast with one of the many attachments it comes with...it records the highs of sounds.. but heck, its waterproof.
Great product January 7, 2010 James W. England (Alabama, USA) Works as advertised, and an improvement over earlier models. I particularly liked the new on and off buttons, much easier to use. Batteries are easier to change, and I really like the added threaded connector used on cameras and tripods, makes it much more useful.
As with the previous versions, the video quality is excellent.
The web cam function is great, just wish it could record at the same time.
Good video - user interface could be improved September 4, 2008 C. Seiders (Harrisburg, PA United States) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
I bought this primarily to be used as a car dash camera.
I attached the helmet mounting bracket to my dashboard and record my commute to and from work each day.
The video is as good as you would see on cops or other police video shows, actually better than some.
There are only 3 buttons for the user interface, on/off, camera, and menu. The menu options I still haven't figured out.
But for the most part, you turn it on, start/stop the video, and that's it.
The device is waterproof and I plan to use it scuba diving and kayaking.
Its a very cool video recorder - very compact, comes with numerous mounting options, and records really good video.
AA batteries last about 4 hours. Rechargeable AA's last around 3 hours. A 4 GB memory card provides around 2 hours of video.
If the user interface was a little more intuitive, I would have easily given this 5 stars.
Very durable, easy controls, poor sound October 27, 2008 C. Sinks 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I mounted this camera both on my helmet and my mountain bike and took it on some singletrack adventures. I had several wipeouts where I landed on the camera or the camera directly hit the ground, and it continues to work great! Since it is waterproof as well as shock-resistant, there are no microphone openings, which means that the sound quality is very poor. I just disabled the audio.
Overall - I was very impressed with the durability, ease of use, and all of the mounting hardware that it comes with.
